The two IT security trade fairs, it-sa and secIT by Heise, have joined forces in an exclusive event partnership. it-sa Expo&Congress and secIT thus emphasize the importance of both events in conveying IT security expertise in the German-speaking region: On 15 and 16 March, secIT in Hanover offers a learning opportunity for IT security managers, while the it-sa Expo&Congress will once again turn Nuremberg into the “Home of IT Security” for three days starting on 10 October. The aim is to provide mutual support in promoting both events. A direct transfer at a content level is also planned: Experts from Heise will make regular contributions to the it-sa 365 digital dialogue platform, at the IT Security Talks on 7-8 March, for example.

“IT security expertise is growing in a highly dynamic environment,” asserts Frank Venjakob, Executive Director it-sa, NürnbergMesse. “Managers are constantly required to keep their knowledge up to date and to network actively. it-sa and secIT provide features with the necessary professional depth and complement each other perfectly. We are therefore very pleased with our successful collaboration with Heise.”

Jörg Mühle, Member of the Board at Heise Medien, explains the background: “it-sa Expo&Congress in the south and secIT by Heise in the north complement each other perfectly. The spring and autumn events give participants two opportunities each year to learn about IT security in detail. Fascinating and in-depth presentations and workshops round out the comprehensive programme. Both events offer exhibitors an ideal platform to present their products and services and to engage in person with participants. IT security is not only one of the most important topics of current interest but is also, and always, a question of teamwork – and it-sa and secIT are moving forward together.”

About it-sa
As the “Home of IT Security”, it-sa stands for a comprehensive range of information, networking and exchange among experts as well as the transfer of knowledge on data protection and IT security, onsite and online: The it-sa Expo&Congress in Nuremberg brings together IT security companies and IT security professionals in person once a year. Europe’s most important trade fair is accompanied by the Congress@it-sa with information on current IT security topics. Online, the it-sa 365 dialogue platform brings decisionmakers and IT security experts together all year round, even between the trade fair dates. Under the motto “Solutions – Networking – Knowledge”, digital formats offer space for knowledge transfer and know-how transfer. The comprehensive overview of providers and products offers additional information on the solutions sought, while networking tools for registered users enable solution providers and those responsible for IT security to establish contact with each other.
