Avnet Silica Software and Services EMEA’s mainline driver for Alvium cameras has been integrated and accepted into the Linux kernel. The partnership was launched during embedded world 2024, where Avnet Silica featured demonstrations of Allied Vision’s GMSL2 Alvium camera on Windows 10 IoT and an NXP i.MX8MPlus running mainline Linux. Additionally, visitors could discover the benefits of Avnet Silica and Allied Vision’s collaboration by attending a series of seminars which focus on the selection of cameras and module-based prototyping with Allied Vision and Avnet Embedded module solutions.
