The ADVOS BK300 offers a unique platform that enables fully integrated extracorporeal blood purification therapies with a treatment duration of up to 72 hours (ADVOS RRT; renal replacement therapy). It simultaneously supports the kidneys, liver and lungs and offers precise options for managing detoxification, fluid management and acid-base balance – all in a closed circuit and with a minimally invasive setup. The modular therapy approach makes it possible to target specific organ functions or clinical pictures.
‘This double award is a great endorsement for our team and our vision,’ says Dr Claus Jessen, Managing Director of ADVITOS GmbH. ‘With the ADVOS BK300, we are entering a new chapter in extracorporeal blood purification – individualised, clinically effective and at the highest level of design. The fact that our system has now also been recognised internationally as a design innovation confirms the successful user-oriented development, makes us proud and motivates us for the next growth step.’
Special thanks go to the agency WILDDESIGN, with whom ADVITOS jointly developed the design of the ADVOS BK300. As one of the leading medical design agencies, it has made a decisive contribution to combining technological standards, clinical requirements and design excellence in a pioneering product. The intensive and collaborative partnership was decisive in creating a system that not only sets medical standards, but also impresses with its intuitive handling and design.
The ‘Innovative Design’ category of the Red Dot Award honours products whose technological or design approach is considered groundbreaking. The award recognises developments that set new standards and have the potential to fundamentally change entire industries – be it through new technical creations, alternative shapes, new materials or completely new usage concepts. The ADVOS BK300 fulfils these criteria in a special way: It not only brings medical-therapeutic innovation, but also redefines the interface of technology, design and user guidance in everyday clinical practice.
