Customer day in the field of testing, monitoring, and certification inspires visitors at SKZ

On July 16 and 17, 2025, the first Customer Day in the field of testing, monitoring, and certification took place at SKZ in Würzburg. Around 100 participants enjoyed practical specialist presentations, exclusive laboratory tours, and intensive discussions. The event sent a strong signal of customer focus, professional competence, and international networking.

On July 16 and 17, 2025, SKZ – The Plastics Center in Würzburg hosted its first Customer Day in the Testing, Monitoring, and Certification Division.
Around 100 participants accepted the invitation and were enthusiastic about the varied program, which included in-depth technical presentations, practical laboratory tours, and numerous opportunities for personal exchange.

The event focused on intensive technical dialogue on current issues relating to the testing, monitoring, and certification of plastics and plastic products. The lecture program, designed by SKZ experts, covered a wide range of topics – from innovative testing methods to the challenges facing the TIC (testing, inspection, certification) sector and the plastics industry as a whole. The practical focus of the presentations met with great interest and was expressly appreciated by the participants.

A special highlight was the exclusive insight into the SKZ laboratories: guided tours allowed participants to view modern test benches and measuring systems, including long-term tests, weathering tests, and materials science analyses with high-pressure autoclaves. Thanks to simultaneous translation by professional interpreters, international guests were also able to follow the program in its entirety – an important contribution to the international character of the event.

“With this first customer day, we not only want to provide information about our services, but also intensify the dialogue with our customers and develop new perspectives together,” emphasizes Dr. Thomas Hochrein, Managing Director of SKZ-Testing GmbH. “The extremely positive response confirms our intention to continue this event format in the future.”

The varied supporting program – including an evening event in the historic pavilion of the Juliusspital – also provided ideal opportunities for networking and in-depth technical discussions in a personal atmosphere.

With its first Customer Day in the field of testing, monitoring, and certification, SKZ has sent a clear signal of its customer focus, technical expertise, and international networking – with a view to a promising continuation.
