Trotec relies on fiber lasers with variable pulse duration, which apply serial numbers, standard references etc. with a minimum depth of 0.1 mm. For example, a 42-digit circumference marking can be realized in less than 14 seconds per pane and the marking is still visually legible after painting. The systems are compatible with SAP, Oracle and Siemens MES and can be controlled via digital I/O or Profinet.

ECE R90 requires permanent marking of brake discs. At the same time, the requirements for traceability, warranty processing and product liability are increasing. Laser-based marking is tamper-proof, maintenance-free and ideal for automated lines.
