„Build your own system“ – Make logistics systems more affordable and flexible with the new INVEOR MC1 frequency inverter

Hall 3, Stand B71

With its participation in LogiMAT in Stuttgart from 24 to 26 March 2026, KOSTAL Drives Technology will be focusing on the latest solutions in the field of decentralised drive technology for intralogistics applications. At its stand in Hall 3, Stand B71, KOSTAL will be presenting, among other things, the new INVEOR MC1 frequency inverter – a future-proof solution that has been specially developed for the increasing demands of intralogistics.

Greater flexibility and added value through the "Build your own system" concept

KOSTAL’s "Build your own system" concept offers designers, system integrators and machine builders new flexibility in the design of their drive systems. Instead of having to resort to rigid, prefabricated solutions, users in intralogistics can freely choose from the wide range of motors and components on the market and combine them individually. This allows costs, motor technology or energy efficiency to be optimised according to specific priorities, resulting in real cost-cutting potential and higher added value.

Once the right motor has been selected, it can be easily combined with a frequency inverter from the KOSTAL portfolio. The motor-mounted concept ensures that almost any motor on the market can be mechanically adapted – for maximum flexibility in component selection. The integrated SELFCOM function in the frequency inverter automatically measures and optimally parameterises the motor within a very short time, which greatly simplifies commissioning. Thanks to the sophisticated plug & play principle, putting together your own drive system is child’s play.

The MC1 – A true INVEOR

The INVEOR MC1 is the newest member of the INVEOR frequency inverter family and thus also carries the DNA of a genuine INVEOR. Thanks to the patented KOSTAL control method, it offers high-precision control of all motor types – regardless of manufacturer and technology, and with overloads of up to 250%. The sensorless control also makes the system more cost-effective and robust, and even enables positioning without a rotor position sensor. With integrated vibration monitoring, deviations from the standard and progressive wear or impending failure can be detected at an early stage. This provides an easy introduction to predictive maintenance.

Perfectly suited for intralogistics

The INVEOR MC1 scores highly in intralogistics with sophisticated features that ensure maximum availability, easy handling and flexible integration. The MC104 variant demonstrates the company’s focus on applications such as conveyor systems and sorting facilities: with holding brake control, internal braking resistor, various Ethernet fieldbuses and functional safety, KOSTAL specifically addresses industry-specific requirements . The robust aluminium housing complies with IP65, making it ideal for use in warehousing and logistics environments.

Fast commissioning and maximum system availability

Installation and replacement of the devices is particularly efficient thanks to a variety of connection options on three sides and fully pluggable connections. This is supported by automated commissioning and a microSD card slot, which enables easy transfer of parameters. It is also possible to carry out parameterisation via a fast and standardised USB-C interface with a laptop, without the need for an additional power supply. This allows plant operators to minimise downtime and benefit from high system availability.

Digitalisation and Industry 4.0

Numerous fieldbus interfaces (including PROFINET, EtherCAT, CANopen) and MQTT for Industry 4.0 integration are available for smart networking. Optional Bluetooth connectivity enables parameterisation and maintenance via app – for greater convenience and efficiency in daily operation.

Whether for expanding warehouse and conveyor technology or automating material flows, with the INVEOR MC1, KOSTAL is consistently driving innovation, efficiency and networking in intralogistics.
