Jersey with Roots

For the 2026/27 season, the Stuttgarter Kickers, together with studiokurbos, present a new interpretation of their home jersey – uncompromising in its design, deeply rooted in the club’s tradition, and at the same time translated into a contemporary, dynamic visual language.

The design is driven by a simple yet consistently executed idea: rethinking stripes as movement. Instead of a classic flat structure, an all-over pattern has been developed that extends across the entire jersey – deliberately continuing across the back as well. This creates a strong visual statement that translates the character of the Kickers: dynamic, constantly in motion, never static.

The foundation is the distinctive Kickers identity expressed in a vivid cyan blue, serving as the defining core colour. This decision runs consistently through the entire jersey and becomes particularly visible on the collar and sleeves as a deliberate design statement. It frames the overall appearance and reinforces a modern, powerful expression without losing the historical connection to the club’s traditional blue.

The dominant graphic pattern is based on diagonally arranged stripes, constructed with varying line weights that come together into rhythmic stripe clusters. These generate a continuous sense of motion – a visual analogy to a game that never stands still but is always evolving.

The implementation of the all-over principle follows a clear design intent: the traditional Kickers stripes are carried not only across the front but also consistently across the back of the jersey. This results in a seamless and uncompromising design approach that treats the pattern as a unified surface – with all the challenges of maintaining legibility and integrating functional elements.

In close collaboration with kit supplier uhlsport, the design was further refined. Both the club crest and the uhlsport logo are outlined in white to ensure maximum contrast and legibility within the dynamic pattern.

Every detail of the jersey has been carefully resolved – from the precise coordination of seam colours to the harmonious integration of all design elements into a coherent overall composition.

To express tradition not only through colour and stripes but also through attitude, the collar features the bold statement “Auf die Blaue”. A jersey designed to be worn with pride, clearly expressing its origins.

The collaboration between studiokurbos and the Stuttgarter Kickers has grown organically over time and is understood as an ongoing design process on equal footing – shaped by local connection, trust, and a shared commitment to evolving the club’s identity. With the 2026/27 home jersey, the second home kit developed together with the Kickers comes to life, continuing a partnership in which design continuity and new impulses naturally come together. The result presents the Kickers in a clear, powerful, and dynamic visual language that preserves their heritage while consistently projecting it into the future.
