The USA relies on nuclear power

Approvals for nuclear power plants and uranium projects are to be accelerated. This is because US nuclear power capacity is set to increase from 100 to 400 gigawatts. This requires a lot of uranium. A few decades ago, the USA had large quantities of enriched uranium material. Today, however, there is a lack of capacity to provide uranium for the country’s own nuclear power plants. President Trump has therefore signed several executive orders to change this. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is responsible for the licensing, safety and regulation of nuclear power plants in the USA. With this reform, Trump also wants to boost uranium production in the USA. Nuclear energy currently accounts for around 20 percent of the country’s electricity requirements and, as demand for electricity is growing, not least due to data centers and artificial intelligence, this proportion is set to increase.
Companies that own projects in the country, such as Uranium Energy – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/uranium-energy-corp/ -, are particularly benefiting from this development. The company is the largest licensed uranium producer in the USA and is debt-free. In addition to the ISR uranium projects in the USA, the company has other high-grade projects in Canada. Overall, the uranium market is currently in deficit. After peaking at more than 100 US dollars per pound, the price of uranium has fallen. Now, however, the downward trend seems to have come to an end. The price of uranium has recently started to rise again. Every technology has advantages and disadvantages. The fact that nuclear energy is being expanded almost worldwide is due to its advantages such as low emissions and constant availability. Renewable energies such as wind and solar power are also not enough to cover the growing demand for electricity.
In addition to uranium companies such as Uranium Energy, Uranium Royalty – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/uranium-royalty-corp/ – is a company on the market that can score points with the advantages of royalty companies such as diversification.
