Radiant Vision Systems Introduces Instrument Systems’ LumiTop Series of Integrated Imaging Colorimeters

Radiant Vision Systems, a leading provider of image-based light and color measurement solutions, strengthens its broad product portfolio with the introduction of the LumiTop series of imaging systems that combine an imaging colorimeter with a spectrometer for complete color measurement in one solution.

LumiTop imaging colorimeters with integrated spectrometers are designed and manufactured by Instrument Systems Gmbh in Munich, Germany. Instrument Systems is a leading provider of high-precision spectrometers, complex systems and software solutions for spectral light measurement. Radiant Vision Systems will sell and support LumiTop systems in North America.  This partnership will deliver complete solutions and a superior customer experience to satisfy the measurement needs of modern display manufacturing.

Instrument Systems and Radiant Vision Systems are both members of the Konica Minolta Sensing Group whose measuring instruments help improve quality control and precision in a wide variety of industries.

The LumiTop X series was specially designed to meet the increasingly demanding measurement tasks in display measurement technology while providing a high degree of flexibility to the customer. The LumiTop 3-in-1 concept comprises a LumiTop imaging colorimeter—available in several versions with color sensors from 12 MP to 150 MP, a high-end spectroradiometer of the CAS series, and a photodiode. The innovative concept enables simultaneous measurement of all three sensors, guaranteeing not only extremely short measurement times, but also high, absolute precision thanks to the spectral reference measurement.  It is particularly suitable for measuring complex new display technologies such as OLED or MicroLED displays. In this way all relevant optical tests can be performed in one test station. “We are excited to represent the LumiTop series to the display manufacturers in North America,” said Stone Jiang, chief executive officer of Radiant Vision Systems, “It enables Radiant to offer additional solutions for a range of measurement applications—from smartphones to AR/VR near-eye displays—and better meet the needs of customers."

Radiant Vision Systems will provide North American-based teams for both sales and product support. In addition, Radiant will enhance the capabilities of the LumiTop systems with integrated features of its TrueTest software, a turnkey system for automated visual inspection. TrueTest provides a comprehensive set of predefined tests and a flexible framework that allows users to apply a single test or sequence of tests as needed, quickly and efficiently. Its set of modules are designed for high-volume manufacturing applications and deliver a field-proven system for production testing, with installations worldwide. “Our partnership with Radiant will provide additional benefits for display manufacturers,” said Stefan Schindlbeck, VP Sales of Instrument Systems, “The combination of LumiTop technology, TrueTest software functionality, and North American sales and support will deliver a complete solution to customers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico."
