BST at LOPEC 2026: Integrated 100% Quality Assurance for Smart RFID Labels

Functional testing and visual 100% inspection of RFID labels provide manufacturers and converters with decisive advantages: higher yield, less waste, and reliable data and quality documentation for every single tag. This is exactly where BST comes in at LOPEC 2026 – with the TubeScan 100% print inspection system and a new cooperation with Voyantic, presented publicly for the first time at the trade fair.

New developments for smart labels: Voyantic Tagsurance® 3  x BST TubeScan

The TubeScan 100% inspection system is the trade fair highlight. New from 2026 is the collaboration with Voyantic, enabling an integrated solution that combines visual 100% inspection with RFID testing. BST TubeScan for print image and inlay inspection is combined with the Voyantic Tagsurance 3 system for testing RFID quality, data encoding, and data verification.

The joint setup will be shown live for the first time at LOPEC 2026 at the BST booth, installed on a SMAG converting machine.

The combined system enables:

RFID quality control with Voyantic Tagsurance 3

  • Complete visibility into the performance of RFID tags
  • Data encoding
  • Data verification

Visual 100% inspection with BST TubeScan

  • Presence and position inspection of RFID inlays
  • Verification of printed variable data (e.g. QR codes), even with multiple labels per repeat

Users receive a roll report that combines the results of both systems, making doctoring significantly easier. Through this comprehensive quality control, manufacturers reduce complaint rates and increase customer satisfaction.

Web guiding with newly developed sensor

With the new camera-based CLS CAM 200 sensor, BST presents an innovation at LOPEC that combines precision and sustainability. The system controls directly based on contrast features, thereby increasing quality and efficiency. CLS CAM 200 features automatically controlled LED illumination and supports both bright-field and dark-field operation for reflective surfaces and materials. Operation is handled centrally together with the controller via the BST SMART COM 100 Commander, complemented by an optical positioning aid and automatic job and setup memory.

In addition, BST impressively demonstrates with the installation of the FRAMEGuide web guiding system how the lowest possible installation height can be combined with maximum guiding precision.

At BST booth B0.406, specialists from BST and Voyantic will be available for expert discussions on integrated quality inspection.
