Avnet Silica Strengthens Sensing Portfolio through New Distribution Agreement with LEM

Avnet Silica, an Avnet company (NASDAQ: AVT), today announced a new distribution agreement with LEM, a global provider of current and voltage measurement solutions. Under the agreement, Avnet Silica will offer LEM’s portfolio of PCB-mounted and module-mounted current sensors, covering currents from below 1 A up to 42 kA, voltage sensors for applications up to 6.4 kV, and Rogowski coil solutions for grid monitoring and instrumentation.

As electrification raises the performance and safety demands placed on power systems, accurate current and voltage measurement is becoming increasingly important to engineers. LEM provides a wide range of galvanically isolated sensing technologies for high-current and high-voltage applications, supporting precise system control, fault and overload detection, and energy management.

Backed by Avnet Silica’s extensive technical sales and field application engineering network, customers across the EMEA region will benefit from wider access to LEM’s sensing portfolio and technical support throughout the design-in process, helping them progress projects more quickly. LEM’s sensing solutions are designed for applications across automotive, e-mobility and EV charging, data centres, energy, industrial automation, and smart infrastructure.

“Through partnering with LEM, as a leading name in electronic sensing solutions, we are expanding our capabilities to support engineers in developing in advanced power systems,” said Thomas Foj, Vice President Supplier Management, Solutions & Digitalization EMEA, Avnet Silica. “LEM’s technologies complement our semiconductor and power discretes, portfolio as well as our system-level power expertise, including our Powering the Shift initiative. Together, we can offer customers a broader range of technologies and practical design in support, helping them address the increasing demands for energy efficiency, system reliability, and smarter power management.”

Philippe Rangheard, Head of Distribution EMEA, LEM commented: “We selected Avnet Silica because of its strong analog and power technical sales organisation, extensive customer reach, and proven design-in expertise. This partnership enhances our ability to support customers across Europe with innovative current and voltage sensing solutions for electrification, energy management, and industrial applications. We look forward to creating new opportunities together and delivering greater value to our customers.”
