MathWorks Polyspace products help organizations improve software quality by combining static analysis, formal verification, testing, and code coverage measurement in a unified workflow. Polyspace analyzes C, C++, and Ada code to identify defects, security vulnerabilities, and coding-standard violations, and can exhaustively verify the absence of certain run-time errors in critical software components. Polyspace also supports compliance initiatives through checks for standards such as MISRA™, AUTOSAR, and CERT® C/C++, while providing test authoring, execution, management, and code coverage measurements on the host and embedded target environments.
Lauterbach’s TRACE32® debug and trace tools support more than 15,000 different chips and over 150 CPU microarchitectures, enabling heterogeneous multicore debugging and profiling even in virtualized system environments, including the complete software stack with hypervisors and operating systems. By synchronizing breakpoints and runtime control, engineers have control over the entire system.
Through the integration of both market-leading products, developers can execute and analyze tests consistently across virtual platforms, emulators, simulators, and real target hardware using a common workflow. It is a single environment, with an identical user interface and identical functionality throughout the entire development cycle. This enables earlier software verification, smoother transitions between development stages, and improved confidence that test results obtained in virtual environments can be reproduced on real chips.
