Bizerba at iba 2025: Shaping the Future of the Bakery Industry

From May 18 to 22, 2025, the international baking industry will gather at iba in Düsseldorf—and Bizerba will be there as a driver of innovation and trusted partner. At Hall 14, Booth E26, the technology company will showcase groundbreaking solutions designed to prepare bakeries for the future—from intelligent front-of-house concepts and digital inventory monitoring to smart bread slicers and efficient back-office control tools.

The highlight of the trade show  appearance is the premiere of the new CSV bread slicer. It impresses with precise slicing quality, an intuitive user interface, and maximum flexibility in processing a wide range of breads – from traditional artisan loaves to modern trend products. Hygienic aspects have been taken into account, as well as easy cleaning, optimized crumb discharge, and particularly quiet operation. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the CSV is ideal for self-service areas and enables an attractive, clean presentation directly at the point of sale.

The CSV is accompanied by the equally powerful CSP bread slicer, which scores with its particularly high level of adjustability and thus precisely meets the demands of artisan bakers. Both machines can be intelligently networked and, through integration into the RetailControl management software, offer full transparency regarding maintenance cycles, cleaning requirements, or blade condition – for maximum availability, productivity, and planning reliability.

Additionally, the new Bizerba Breadlifter is revolutionizing the packaging of bread: safe, fast, and effortless. This innovative and previously unique system prevents bread slices from falling during transfer – perfect for anyone seeking efficiency and product quality without compromise.

At the same time, systems like the Smart Shelf enable intelligent real-time inventory monitoring and automated restocking control. The MyOrder solution also simplifies the click & collect model: customers conveniently order online, while baked goods are prepared on-site and made ready for pickup.

Technological diversity for every application scenario

“Our customers face the challenge of meeting rising customer expectations, staff shortages, and cost pressures all at once. This is exactly where our solutions come in: they create efficient workflows, reduce manual processes, and enable a modern shopping experience – whether in an urban self-service concept or a traditional bakery store,” explains Ante Todoric, Managing Director of the Business Unit Retail at Bizerba.

Peter Riedel, COO and responsible for the Business Unit Retail, also emphasizes the strategic importance: “The bakery industry is undergoing a transformation. We see ourselves as a partner to our customers, providing not only technological answers but above all practical solutions. With our portfolio at iba, we show how tradition and future can be successfully combined.”

The trade show presentation is rounded off by further innovative highlights such as the fully automatic vertical slicer VSP F with SmarterSlicing technology, which ensures maximum hygiene and productivity through touchless placement and automatic carriage drive, as well as the Q1 expert 300, which impresses with sustainable design, modular construction, and state-of-the-art technology. For mobile use, the E3 basic completes the portfolio – a versatile, compact solution for inventories, weight checks, and online order picking, including Bluetooth connectivity for fast data exchange.

Presentation on the future of the bakery industry

A special highlight is the expert talk by Alexander Pogacnik and Franziska Klaiber, which will take place on May 18 at 3:00 p.m. on the iba.STAGE in Hall 15. Under the title “The Future of the Bakery Industry,” they will use concrete practical examples to show how digitalization and automation enable new sales concepts such as unmanned stores and 24/7 models. The focus is on low-threshold access to modern technologies – with solutions that can be quickly implemented and have an immediate measurable impact on customer satisfaction, efficiency, and revenue.

Visit us at iba 2025 in Hall 14, Booth E26 – we look forward to shaping the future of the bakery industry together with you!
